My Lovely Baby Shower

I feel so very blessed and fortunate. My family put together such a lovely baby shower for me. So dainty, pink, and girly. I loved it and I'll cherish it forever. I tried to get enough pictures. Here they are!

A day at the beach

Having a blast in Myrtle Beach. So lovely. I don't want to leave on Monday!
The weather is perfect. 75-ish.

It's St. Patty's Day.. I'll be laying on the beach, enjoying my WATER!
(trust me, I would love a big ol' margarita.)

Babymoon!

Taking a babymoon with my man for 4 days in Myrtle Beach! Really needing this. I didn't think we'd have a babymoon, but we are. I can't wait to relax on the beach. Or try to relax as much as I can. I am 34 weeks pregnant right now ;) But it should be a nice getaway. When we return, it's time for the baby shower!

Where it all began..

I found out I was pregnant in late August 2011. I was around 3 weeks pregnant. I was clearly shocked, nervous, all the emotions you can think of. I scheduled a doctor appointment to clarify everything and to get an ultrasound around 6 weeks pregnant. I was indeed pregnant! I knew because I was NEVER late on my period. I felt exhausted and had no appetite whatsoever. At the ultrasound, the ultrasound tech told me that there were two sacs in the uterus. One was "dead", and the other was empty. I felt very confused. She told me that I was carrying twins, but one had already passed, and she didn't know if the other would make it or not. She was also very confused because my sac was measuring around 8 weeks pregnant. So if there was a baby in there, it should show up on the ultrasound. Needless to say, I had no hope. I felt very hurt and angry. I just had the shock of discovering that I was pregnant. THEN, I had to hear this horrible news. She told me to come back in a week and within that week to see if "anything happens." Basically she meant, "let's see if you miscarry." I went home, cried for days, stayed in bed, didn't eat, didn't communicate with anyone. Just waiting for something horrible to happen. I was at a very low point in my life. Nothing happened. I went to the appointment a week later, got an ultrasound, and there my baby was. A strong heartbeat and all. My mouth dropped, and so did some tears. Not only was I shocked, but the ultrasound tech was too. She wasn't expecting a baby to be there. My baby girl is indeed a miracle.

The first ultrasound pic I have of her.
